Argo

Argo (2012) is a tense, Oscar-winning political thriller directed by and starring Ben Affleck, based on the true "Canadian Caper" during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis. It follows CIA agent Tony Mendez as he orchestrates an audacious, fake sci-fi film production to rescue six American diplomats hiding in Tehran, using Hollywood professionals to create a believable cover story.
