The Gift

"The Gift" most commonly refers to the 2015 psychological thriller where a young couple's (Jason Bateman, Rebecca Hall) seemingly perfect life unravels after an encounter with an unsettling old classmate (Joel Edgerton, who also wrote/directed), who starts gifting them strange presents and revealing dark secrets from Simon's past, blurring lines of stalking and past trauma. There's also an earlier 2000 supernatural thriller by Sam Raimi starring Cate Blanchett as a psychic medium involved in a missing person case in the South.
