We Bury the Dead (2024/2026) is a character-driven thriller directed by Zak Hilditch, starring Daisy Ridley as Ava, a woman searching for her husband in Tasmania after an experimental U.S. weapon causes a catastrophic, fatal disaster. The film explores grief, survivor guilt, and, as the dead reanimate and hunt, the emotional, often metaphorical, impact of loss.
