Greyhound is a 2020 World War II film starring Tom Hanks as U.S. Navy Commander Ernest Krause, who leads an Allied convoy across the treacherous North Atlantic in 1942. Based on the novel The Good Shepherd, the inexperienced commander and his destroyer escort must defend the convoy from relentless attacks by a German submarine "wolf pack" while also battling the harsh elements and fatigue, in a desperate mission to deliver crucial supplies to Allied forces
